About CDCoop

Crimson Desert Co-op

An unofficial co-op mod for Crimson Desert. Currently in beta.

Play in the same world

CDCoop is a community project working to bring co-op play to Crimson Desert. The aim is to let friends explore the game's world together, take part in fights and continue a campaign without creating a separate co-op-only adventure.

The intended session size is up to four players total, including the host. Either player should be able to host their own world, with friends joining and leaving during normal play. These are the project's goals; they are not all available in the current beta.

What is being built?

  • Shared gameplay: consistent enemies, combat, loot, quests and world events across the session.
  • Joining and leaving: Steam friends and invitations, with session controls integrated into the game.
  • Player progress: character and campaign progress that survives a session, with separate mod saves intended to protect ordinary play.
  • Simple installation: a launcher that handles the mod files and verifies updates for the player.

Where development stands

The project is in beta. Early two-PC tests have established a connection and displayed a remote character, but they also revealed movement, mount and world-sync issues. That is an early test milestone, not a finished multiplayer mode.

Complete shared gameplay, reliable joining and leaving, and native save isolation remain unfinished. A full co-op playthrough and four-player experience have not been validated. The public download is disabled while development and testing continue.

Game and platform

Current development is for Crimson Desert on Windows through Steam. Each player needs their own game installation. Compatibility depends on the game build and the mod version; the project has not announced support for consoles or other storefronts.

CDCoop does not include the game. It is an unofficial modification and is not affiliated with the game's developer or publisher.
